Article two - "Celebreties from Vancouver Island stretch their Wings
Ed Harris, Ethan Hawke and Ronnie Hawkins make their debut at Pacific NorthWest Raptors this year; that is, the three Harris’ hawk brothers born and bred here at our centre in Duncan.
The boys have spent all winterand spring perfecting their flying techniques. They have learnt to duck, dive, twist, roll, and eventually put on the brakes. As the first babies for PNWR, the boys have earned a lot of attention. Born in July 2005, the all-star trio has already thrilled school children in the valley, but they are just beginning their big stage careers.
"They are just starting to stretch their wings, they have so much potential" explains Gillian Radcliffe, proud breeder and Pacific NorthWest Raptors proprietor. The three boys are expected to wow the audiences with their raucous, off-key riffs, cool attitudes and their fun, fast flight manoeuvres.
They will be exhibiting their aerial agility and their versatility as hunters in their first season of flying demonstrations this year, starting April 1st at Pacific Northwest Raptors on Herd Road in Duncan. Young fans can meet the boys at Kids' Spring Break Camp, March 13-17.
